Supported Operating Systems
Official Best Wallet desktop builds target the operating systems and architectures below. Before downloading, confirm that your operating system and CPU architecture are listed; an updated system is an important part of keeping a Monero wallet private and secure.

Why current operating systems matter
Use the latest Best Wallet release on an operating system that still receives security updates from a vendor you trust. Current systems help protect wallet files and reduce exposure to known security issues, while current compilers and dependencies let releases benefit from modern security and performance improvements.
Unsupported or end-of-life distributions can lose security updates at any time. That increases the chance of malware infection, privacy loss, or loss of funds, and support for those systems may be dropped when a current toolchain can no longer build safely for them.
Why Windows 7 and 8.1 are not supported
Current desktop frameworks no longer support these versions of Windows, and Microsoft security updates for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 ended in January 2020 and January 2023, respectively. Upgrade to a supported Windows version or use a maintained Linux distribution before installing Best Wallet.
