Create a wallet

To create a new Best Wallet wallet, open the New/Restore wizard, select Create new wallet, record the recovery seed offline, choose a wallet name and location, and encrypt the wallet file with a strong password. Your seed is the recovery authority for the funds in that wallet.

Create and back up a new wallet

  1. If the wizard is not already open, go to File → New/Restore.
  2. Select Create new wallet.
  3. Write down every seed word in the exact order shown. Best Wallet may use a 16-word Polyseed or another supported Monero seed scheme depending on the wallet configuration.
  4. Store the written seed offline in a secure location. Never save it to a computer, cloud drive, email, chat, screenshot, or website.
  5. Continue only after checking that every word is present and correctly ordered.
  6. Enter a unique wallet name. Best Wallet will suggest an unused name if you leave the field unchanged.
  7. Review the wallet-file directory. Keep the default location unless you have a specific reason to use another location or portable mode.
  8. Set a strong password to encrypt the wallet file. A password manager such as KeePassXC can generate and store a unique password.
  9. Select Create/Open wallet to finish.
